Numero Uno

Ok, just start typing. . .Starting out is always the hardest part. {Sharla}

We are posting our first blog (I guess that's kinda obvious). We have just moved to NorCal and throughout the last few weeks settling into our new home, our new friends have insisted we start a blog. We didn't really think our lives were THAT exciting, but I guess we'll let you decide.  {Chris}

At the very least, it will be a good exercise for improving our writing, since neither of us write very frequently.  Ok, here's a little background.  We are writing our blog as a couple, so you may notice that the voice switches often. We've been married for a little over a year. Yes, we are still technically "newlyweds," but we dated for 11 years before tying the knot, so we know each other pretty well.  {Sharla}

She says 11, but really it was only 10 years... gimme a break here. {Chris}

Oooops! Well, either way, we're happily married and excited about our new Cali adventure.  Since it is our first year in a new, very beautiful place, we are hoping to capture some of the memories in our blog.  

Alright, so what can you expect from us this year? Well, lots of random blurbs about our various interests, plus pics, videos, running stuff, recipes, trivia. . .During our free time, we frequently run road races ranging from 5k's to marathons, we have 2 black mini-rex bunnies (don't worry, you'll see lots of stories about them), cook, travel, go to weddings (we were invited to 10 this year...YIKES), and ride our bikes to work. {Sharla} 

MORE at the very least, I {Chris} have wanted to start a website to encourage and educate runners and have an outlet for my running obsession. I latched onto the sport quite tightly while training for the 2006 LA marathon. Since then, friends of mine have requested training programs from me. This blog allows me to keep in touch with them and promote my training programs to more runners (current and future).
